About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center, is conducting a Sources Sought Announcement for spare parts supporting the Common Sensor Payload (CSP), a multi-sensor Electro-Optic Infrared Sensor with a Laser Designator. The solicitation seeks manufacturers capable of supplying specific electronic and sensor components, including light intensity detectors, night vision image intensifiers, antenna pedestal subassemblies, electronic component shields, and cooling units. Original equipment manufacturer Raytheon Company produces these components for the Multi-Spectral Targeting System product line. The government currently possesses the technical data package and is conditionally releasing it for potential suppliers. Interested vendors must submit documentation demonstrating their manufacturing and supply capabilities by May 8, 2025, via email to the designated points of contact, including a company overview, CAGE code, technical point of contact information, and supporting evidence such as previous contract experience, drawings, and test results.
This Sources Sought Announcement is not a formal Request for Quote and does not guarantee contract award or cost reimbursement. The primary objective is market research to determine if responsible sources exist and to explore potential small business set-aside opportunities. The announcement covers six specific National Stock Number (NSN) components with unique part numbers, all associated with CAGE code 96214 (Raytheon). While no specific award value is indicated, the procurement supports critical sensor capabilities for manned and unmanned aerial platforms, enabling day/night imaging, target recognition, and coordinate tracking. The government will use the gathered information to develop the most competitive and strategic acquisition approach. Responses are limited to written submissions, with no phone inquiries accepted, and all communication must be directed to the technical points of contact: Dalton Butterfield and Philip Winter, with copies to the DLA Aberdeen Small Business office.
