About this file

The document is a Contractor Questionnaire for a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Sources Sought Announcement related to spare parts for the Common Sensor Payload (AN/AAS-53A) system. The solicitation seeks manufacturers capable of producing specific electronic and sensor components, including detectors, image intensifiers, antenna pedestals, electronic shields, and cooling units for military aerial platforms. Key NSN items include part numbers 6652132-2, 6652129-4, 6640218-1, 4984454-2, 4974123-2, and 1017375-001, with original equipment manufacturer being Raytheon Company.

The questionnaire requires potential contractors to provide detailed information about their company's capabilities, including past performance, engineering staff qualifications, obsolescence management processes, inventory capabilities, and ability to meet government delivery requirements. The Sources Sought Announcement is for market research purposes, not a formal solicitation, with responses due by 5/8/2025. Responses should be emailed to specific points of contact, including Dalton Butterfield (dalton.j.butterfield.civ@army.mil) and Philip Winter (philip.j.winter.civ@army.mil), with the goal of determining if responsible sources exist and exploring potential small business set-aside opportunities for this defense procurement.
