About this opportunity

Paragraph 1:

The USDA-ARS is seeking vendors capable of providing soil chemical analysis services to support its dryland cropping system research. The agency intends to award a sole source contract to Ward Labs, as the previous data was analyzed there. However, the USDA-ARS is conducting market research to identify other vendors that may be able to provide similar services with the same technical specifications. The required services include routine soil analysis, total nitrogen analysis, and total organic carbon analysis on a total of 792 soil samples collected from four study sites in Colorado and Nebraska. The period of performance is from September 30, 2024 to October 30, 2024, and the samples are to be shipped via UPS regular. Responses to this Sources Sought notice will contribute to determining the method of procurement, which could include a set-aside for small businesses or full and open competition.

Paragraph 2:

This Sources Sought notice does not have a set-aside designation, and the USDA-ARS is considering all small business categories. The USDA-ARS has not provided any information about the potential award value or budget range for this requirement. The agency is seeking information from potential vendors, including their business size, small business status, capabilities, and any potential restrictions on competition.
