About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is soliciting quotations for 468 units of socket flat head self-locking cap screws measuring 1/4-20UNC-3A x 1.25" long, manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-1222J(MOD) Type II specifications. These fasteners must meet precise material and performance requirements, including nickel alloy construction per NICUAL QQ-N-286G Grade 500 and self-locking mechanisms per MIL-DTL-18240F(I) Type N. The procurement is being conducted as a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items under FAR Part 12, utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation criterion. Offerors must submit descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with all specified requirements, and non-manufacturers must provide proof of supply chain traceability. The quotation deadline is April 17, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST, with the government intending to make a single award without discussions.

This requirement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside with a small business size standard of 600 employees under NAICS code 332722 (Bolt, Nut, Screw, Rivet, and Washer Manufacturing). No incumbent contractor or current award value has been identified in the solicitation materials. The procurement does not specify an estimated contract value, though the relatively modest quantity of 468 units suggests a smaller contract dollar amount. Delivery is required urgently to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, with final inspection conducted at the destination and payment to be made via Government Purchase Card or Wide Area Workflow using Net 30 terms following inspection and acceptance. Interested vendors must be registered in SAM, submit quotations using the required RFQ paperwork, and accept the specified payment and delivery terms to be considered for award.
