The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV intends to solicit for snow removal services for the facility. The NCTC is located at 698 Conservation Way, Shepherdstown WV, 25443, approximately 3.5 miles north of the Town of Shepherdstown, along Shepherd Grade Road. The NCTC is located on 532 acres fronting the Potomac River. The facility consists of 18 buildings with approximately 433,000 square feet. The campus is divided into an instructional area, a recreation area, maintenance and utility support areas, and four overnight guest lodges. Access consists of 3.16 miles of paved public roadways, .66 miles of maintenance gravel roads, 272,556 SQFT of paved parking lots and loading dock areas, 2.94 miles of paved foot paths, 4.37 miles of non-paved walking trails, and a 330 foot wooden plank surface pedestrian bridge.
PROJECT SCOPE: The successful contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment to provide snow removal services as required. The successful contractor shall be responsible for snow and ice removal services for areas throughout the NCTC campus, which will be identified with the posting of the solicitation and will include stairways, patios, sidewalks, building handicap ramps, exit door aprons, and emergency egress areas.
QUOTATION PERIOD: The request for quotation is scheduled for release on or about 03 July, 2018. The quotes will be due on or about 02 August 2018. The anticipated award is 23 August 2018.
QUOTATION PROCEDURES: The acquisition will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Quotations, through FedBizOpps. The solicitation will be for a base period and include four option periods over a five year period. This acquisition will result in a single fixed price contract. Award shall be made to the responsible contractor, whose quote, conforming to the request for quotation, will be most advantageous to the Government. Evaluation criteria will be specified in the request for quotation, which will include, as attachments, a Statement of Work and other supporting documents.
This is an electronically issued acquisition. The Government will issue the request for quotation via FedBizOpps. Electronic and fax quotations will be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by this agency.
