About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is procuring 5 specialized snow machines specifically designed for extreme cold weather tactical operations in challenging terrain. The solicitation requires 2026 Ski-DOO EXP extreme 850 ET ADTA WIDE TRACK snow machines (or equivalent) in black color, equipped with comprehensive tactical accessories including a mandatory blackout kit for stealth operations, extra belts, oversized windshield, rewind starter, heated passenger seats, full body skid plates, towing capabilities, and additional storage systems. These machines must support multi-day missions in areas with no power access, capable of carrying two personnel with full gear while operating in extreme cold conditions with pull-start capability when battery power is unavailable. The contract is structured as a firm fixed-price procurement under NAICS code 336999 (All Other Transportation Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 2340 (Motorcycles, Motor Scooters, And Bicycles). The solicitation was posted on September 4, 2025, with offers due by September 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM, providing contractors with an extremely tight six-day response window.
This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside, with specific emphasis on Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) participation, restricting competition to businesses with fewer than 1000 employees under the applicable size standard. The contract is intended for the 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron (3 ASOS) with delivery required by January 13, 2026, approximately four months from the solicitation date. Performance will occur in Alaska, with delivery to Fort Wainwright at 3467 South Gate Road, Fort Wainwright, AK 99703-5002, reflecting the military's need for specialized Arctic mobility equipment. The procurement involves exactly 5 units of these highly specialized tactical snow machines, each requiring 17 specific accessory components to meet the operational requirements for extreme weather military operations. Contract administration will be handled by the contracting officer at FA5004, with inspection and acceptance performed by MSgt David Hatch at the delivery location.
