About this opportunity

The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify sources capable of designing and producing the Next Generation MHU-110 and MHU-141 munitions trailers, with the most recent update posted August 3, 2026 indicating the acquisition has been posted to the Eglin Wide Agile Acquisition Contract (EWAAC) vehicle.

Contractors interested in this requirement must become approved EWAAC contractors and contact the EWAAC Contracting Officer. A valid DD2345 is required to access the Technical Data Package. The estimated requirement spans fiscal years 2026–2032 for approximately 1,200 trailer systems under a 5–7 year Firm Fixed Price contract. The procurement is unclassified with no set-aside decision made at this time; small businesses are encouraged to participate and identify areas for exclusive small business set-aside.

Technical qualifications include AWS-certified welders, 3D/solids modeling and finite element analysis capability, stress testing and fatigue analysis, and experience with 6061-T6 aluminum alloy welding. The contractor must develop technical manuals, conduct first-article testing at multiple locations including Moody AFB, Seymour Johnson AFB, and Nellis AFB, provide 12-month/1,200-mile warranty coverage, and support design reviews within 180–270 days of award. The MHU-141V2 requires additional nuclear surety certification. The government will furnish one legacy MHU-110, one legacy MHU-141, and one MHU-141 rolling load test fixture as government-furnished equipment. Government evaluation will consider price, technical capability, and past performance.
