About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 seeks to procure a SiteRite 9 Ultrasound System with accessories, with proposals due September 10, 2026 at 12:00 PDT. This is a sole-source, brand-name-only acquisition approved under FAR 12.201-1 for Becton, Dickinson and Company, the sole manufacturer and distributor.
Place of performance is Fresno, California. The PACU department at Fresno VA Health Care System requires the SiteRite 9 system to replace an end-of-life cardiovascular access ultrasound system. The procurement includes the ultrasound system (Part #9770800), SiteRite 9 Ultrasound Cue Magnetizer (9770811), SiteRite 9 Ultrasound System Cue Linear Probe (9770803), Sherlock 3CG Tip Confirmation Sensor (9770358), and Medical Equipment Roll Stand (9770206)—one each of all five items. The salient characteristic limiting competition is integration with the facility's existing BD Sherlock 3CG Tip Confirmation System Workflow for real-time needle tracking and catheter tip navigation during vascular access procedures. Market research confirmed no other ultrasound system can demonstrably integrate with the existing Sherlock workflow while providing equivalent vascular-access-specific functionality. The system must feature a 15.6-inch touchscreen console, meet FDA Class II medical device approval, and comply with ISO quality management processes.
The base performance period runs September 16 through December 15, 2026, with delivery required to Fresno VA by December 15, 2026 on an FOB Destination basis. The contract is Firm-Fixed-Price. NAICS code is 334510; PSC code is 6525. The contracting officer is Alex Hernandez; technical inquiries should be directed to Jason Olliff at jason.olliff@va.gov or 916-923-4398.
