About this opportunity
The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base intends to solicit a Firm Fixed Price contract for Shure Axient wireless transmitters, receivers, and accessories for The Band of the Golden West, with a Request for Quotation anticipated on or about August 28, 2026. This requirement is intended as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The pre-solicitation notice closes August 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time; vendors should submit market research responses to juliet.diggs.1@us.af.mil and vitaliy.kim.1@us.af.mil.
The procurement is noncompetitive, justified by the requirement for Shure equipment to integrate seamlessly with the Band's existing infrastructure. Performance occurs at Travis Air Force Base, California, supporting approximately 250 annual performances for 1.5 million audience members including high-level civilian and military dignitaries.
The scope comprises six line items: two AD4Q Four Channel Receivers, four ADX2 Handheld Transmitters, four ADX1 Bodypack Transmitters, one ADTQ PSM Transmitter, one ADTQ PSM License, and eight Axient PSM Bodypack Receivers. The system operates in extended UHF spectrum (470–960 MHz) with tuning bandwidth up to 184 MHz, supporting 17 channels in Standard Mode or 47 channels in High Density Mode. Technical requirements include transparent audio with flat frequency response (20 Hz–20 kHz), latency of 2.9 milliseconds or less, AES 256-bit encryption, True Digital Diversity, interference detection, and compatibility with Wireless Workbench software and AD610 ShowLink Access Point. All equipment includes a one-year manufacturer warranty and all freight, handling, and labor charges. Award selection uses Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable criteria. NAICS 334310; PSC 5965.
