About this opportunity

The National Institutes of Health's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences seeks to procure a curated collection of at least 6,000 screening compounds based on the Broad Institute Repurposing Set, to be used for screening and identifying potential drug candidates. The compounds must meet requirements for format, validated activities, availability for screening, supporting documentation, and purity of 95% or higher as confirmed by analytical testing. Quotes are due by September 15th and will be evaluated based on technical capability, past performance, and price, with award anticipated by September 18th.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The primary NAICS code is 541715 and PSC code is R425. Delivery of the selected compounds is required within three months to Rockville, Maryland. The anticipated award value is unknown, though the Broad Institute Repurposing Set contains over 6,000 compounds, setting the minimum quantity required to be considered for award.

Notice text

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), requires a curated collection of screening compounds based on the Broad Institute Repurposing Set. These are highly optimized small molecules, FDA-approved drugs, clinical trial drugs, and pre-clinical tool compounds with a companion information resource. The entire set has more than 6,000 compounds and NCATS seeks to purchase a curated collection as large as possible based on this Broad Institute Repurposing Set.

NCATS requires a compound library based on the Broad Institute Repurposing Set, as large as possible but with a minimum of 6,000 compounds, that meet the following salient characteristics:

1)  500ul each @ 10mM
2)  96-well plate format
3)  Small molecules must have validated biological and pharmacological activities.
4)  Must be available for high-throughput screening (HTS) and high-content screening (HCS).
5)  Must come with detailed biological and chemical information with LC/MS and NMR reports to ensure high quality.
6)  Guaranteed to have a purity of >95% (accuracy +/-5%) that is to be confirmed by NMR and/or LCMS spectra.

Vendors able to provide at least 6,000 compounds will be considered for award.

See attached combined synopsis/solicitation and attachments for complete requirement details.
