About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces has issued a Special Notice for the procurement of the System Communication and Oxygen Tester (SCOT), a self-contained portable testing system used to integrate the testing of multiple Aircrew Flight Equipment for the U.S. Air Force. The SCOT tester is designated as a sole source procurement, as it is the only equipment authorized and compatible with the existing aircraft mask equipment and communication devices.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the Air Force's intent to award a sole source purchase order to Chemring Energetic Devices, the sole authorized manufacturer and service provider for the SCOT tester. The anticipated award date is September 4, 2024, and the purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. While the agency is inviting interested parties to submit information on their ability to provide the required product and services by September 3, 2024, a competitive procurement may not be conducted based on the responses, as Chemring Energetic Devices is the only authorized provider of the specialized testing equipment.
