About this opportunity
The Department of Energy Office of Science seeks quotations for a Scanning Electrochemical Microscope (SECM) System with an anticipated three-month delivery period, with quotes due May 31 and questions due May 21. There is no set-aside; award will go to the responsive and responsible offeror submitting the lowest total price while meeting all technical requirements.
Place of performance is Upton, New York. The NAICS code is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
The SECM system must be capable of three scanning modes in one tool, potentially through switching scanning heads for probes. Technical specifications include a current range of 5 picoamperes to 100 milliamperes, potential resolution of 610 nanovolts with a 10-volt range, floating 4-electrode configuration, input capacitance less than 1 picofarad, 16-bit data sampling at 200 kilohertz, and current noise less than 0.1 percent of the current range. The system must be NRTL listed or equivalent; CE marking is explicitly not acceptable. Deliverables include installation (1 week), Factory Acceptance Test Report (2 weeks), tool delivery with all components (4 weeks), installation and staff training for up to two Center for Functional Nanomaterials staff members (6 weeks), and Site Acceptance Test with final documentation (2 weeks post-installation). The system must include a Faraday cage for EMI isolation, operating manuals, calibration certificates, and warranty information.
All pricing shall be all-inclusive in U.S. dollars, quoted FOB Brookhaven National Laboratory, including freight, import duties, and customs costs if applicable. Payment terms are Net 10 for small businesses or Net 30 for large businesses. Offerors must be registered in SAM with a Unique Entity ID or, if foreign, complete AMS-Form-050.
