About this opportunity
Summary of Key Details:
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Sanaria Inc. to procure Sanaria PfSPZ Reagent biological kits. These kits will be used for ongoing clinical trial experiments at the Laboratory of Immunogenetics (LIG) to study immune interactions with PBMC collected during recent trials. The justification for the sole source procurement is that changing variables within the clinical trial would compromise the data research and findings. Responses from any responsible sources that could provide these kits must be submitted by email with the subject line "NOI-NIAID-24-2228227" to Diana Rohlman at diana.rohlman@nih.gov by June 25, 2024 at 4:00 pm EST. The government will consider all responses received by the closing date in determining whether to compete this requirement.
This is not a set-aside procurement. Sanaria Inc., located in Rockville, MD, is the sole source provider. The contract will be for the procurement of 100 vials of purified, vialed, attenuated PfSPZ at $150k per vial, with shipping to Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 1901 (a) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1.
