About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force District of Washington, through the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Administration and Management (SAF/AM) and the Air Force District of Washington Contracting Directorate (AFDW/PK), is seeking to procure a residential security system through this Sources Sought Notice published on January 15, 2026. The security system must include eleven specific components: monitored smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, sensors on all entries, motion and glass break detectors, garage and window sensors, a central control keypad, floodlights, a smart video doorbell, an additional keypad for alternative locations, a CCTV camera system with monitor, and the capability to install a camera on a detached gate away from the property. A critical requirement is that all security systems must be compliant with NIST 800-53 controls. Interested vendors are invited to submit capability statements to SSgt Christian Mancha at christian.mancha@us.af.mil and Maj Jasmine Morales at jasmine.morales.3@us.af.mil. The response deadline for this Sources Sought Notice is January 21, 2026. This notice is being issued for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote, Bid, or Proposal, and any submitted information is voluntary with no government responsibility for respondent costs.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any current contractors or incumbents. No award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The specifications list does not provide quantity details, specific timelines for service delivery, or performance metrics beyond the technical and compliance requirements outlined. As this is a Sources Sought Notice rather than a formal solicitation, the evaluation criteria and award procedures have not yet been established.
