About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Charles George VA Medical Center has issued a Special Notice for emergency laundry and linen services to be provided by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, the incumbent contractor. Based on market research, utilizing a different vendor would result in substantial duplication of costs that would not be fair and reasonable, and the current contractor's pricing is deemed fair and reasonable.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide an opportunity for other interested contractors to express their interest and capability to provide the required services. While this is not a request for competitive quotations, the government will consider any expressions of interest received within three days to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted. The acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, as authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested contractors should submit their expressions of interest via email to the specified point of contact by the stated deadline of November 15, 2024.
