About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Logistics Center is conducting a market survey to identify vendors capable of providing a commercially available robotic lift system to support lifting, positioning, rotation, and movement of portable shelter units in FAA logistics and infrastructure operations, with vendor responses due July 15, 2026. This is a planning-phase inquiry, not a solicitation or commitment.

The robotic lift system must be operable by no more than two personnel and feature rechargeable battery-powered operation. Minimum technical specifications include 18,750-pound lifting capacity, minimum six-inch vertical lift, remote-control operation, and 360-degree rotational capability. The system must accommodate rectangular portable shelters ranging from 10 feet by 16 feet to 12 feet by 24 feet.

Interested vendors should submit a capability statement describing experience with similar equipment and projects, product literature and technical specifications demonstrating compliance with minimum requirements, company information including UEI and CAGE Code, and training, warranty, and maintenance information describing available support services. Vendors must confirm availability for an on-site, no-cost, no-obligation demonstration. The FAA intends to evaluate commercially available solutions and reserves the right to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, including assessment of small business participation potential. Place of performance is at FAA facilities identified in individual service requests. All questions must be submitted in writing to the contracting specialist; phone calls will not be accepted.
