About this opportunity

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Special Notice for a virtual meet and greet event related to the Resources for Improvement of Surveillance and Emergency Response (RISER) contract opportunity. This announcement is part of a three-phase process designed to connect large and small businesses in the In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing sector. The notice is specifically targeting large businesses under NAICS code 325413 who have capabilities to provide services outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The CDC is not soliciting proposals at this stage, but rather seeking to compile a list of qualified businesses interested in potential collaboration. This initiative is intended to facilitate networking and potential subcontracting relationships between large and small businesses in the diagnostic manufacturing industry.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to create a structured platform for business networking and potential future contracting opportunities. Interested large businesses are required to provide a capability statement, past performance information, and indicate which parts of the PWS they might be interested in subcontracting. Small businesses will subsequently be invited to review the list of large businesses and express their interest in potential subcontracting arrangements. The event will be conducted virtually via Zoom, with the final meet and greet details to be determined based on the number of participating businesses. Eligibility is limited to businesses in the In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing sector, with a specific focus on large businesses in Phase I and small businesses in Phase II. The deadline for large businesses to express interest was November 14, 2024, while small businesses have until December 5, 2024, to respond. The CDC emphasizes that this is an informational process and will not reimburse any costs associated with participating in the meet and greet.
