About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi has issued a cancellation notice for Request for Quotation (RFQ) PR15559427, which was originally related to America250 Regional Engagement Series large-scale events. The Special Notice, posted on September 11, 2025, formally announces the complete cancellation of this procurement opportunity that was initially issued on August 21, 2025. The Department of State facility in the United Arab Emirates made this determination for the government's convenience. The cancellation affects what appears to have been an event management contract opportunity under the NAICS code for Promoters of Performing Arts, Sports, and Similar Events. Gregory Stoneberg serves as the contracting point of contact and can be reached at AbuDhabiContracts@state.gov for any related inquiries.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to formally notify potential vendors and contractors that the RFQ has been entirely cancelled due to budgetary constraints and other operational factors. No further action is required from any vendors who may have been preparing responses or had already submitted quotations for this opportunity. The cancellation is effective immediately, and contractors should not expect any continuation of this particular procurement process. The embassy has indicated that any future opportunities or revised solicitations related to America250 Regional Engagement Series projects will be posted on www.SAM.gov if they become available. This cancellation represents a complete termination of the original solicitation rather than a postponement or modification of requirements.
