About this opportunity
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9 is seeking a contractor to enhance children's health protection through a comprehensive project aligned with Executive Order 14212 and the national Children's Environmental Health (CEH) Program. The contract aims to optimize outreach for environmental health resources, provide training for healthcare professionals to recognize pediatric environmental exposures, and improve accessibility to online environmental health education modules. The solicitation requires contractors to complete specific CEH projects outlined in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package, with reference to Attachment 1 and Attachment 2 for detailed scope of work. The solicitation was posted on June 4, 2025, with proposals due by June 9, 2025, indicating a relatively short response window. The opportunity is categorized under NAICS 611310 (Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools) and PSC Q533 (Occupational & Public Health Services), suggesting a preference for educational or research-oriented organizations with public health expertise.
The contract does not have a specific set-aside designation, which means it is open to a broad range of potential contractors. While no specific award value is mentioned in the solicitation, the project focuses on developing and implementing children's environmental health resources and training programs. The place of performance is not explicitly stated but is likely to involve both on-site and online activities related to environmental health education and outreach. The contract supports the EPA's priority of improving children's health by addressing environmental exposures and building professional capacity in pediatric environmental health. The short timeline and specific objectives suggest this is a focused, time-sensitive project aimed at developing and disseminating critical health resources for children across various audiences, including healthcare professionals and educational institutions.
