About this opportunity
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9 is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to enhance children's environmental health protection through optimized outreach initiatives. The contract aims to support Executive Order 14212's priority of addressing children's health concerns and reducing chronic disease rates. Specifically, the EPA seeks to develop training and educational resources on environmental health issues affecting children, build healthcare professionals' capacity to recognize pediatric environmental exposures, and improve accessibility to online environmental health education modules. This RFI is purely for market research and information gathering purposes, and respondents will not be compensated for their input. The opportunity is open to entities in the Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools NAICS category, with responses due by May 30, 2025.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. While no incumbent contractor is mentioned, the project will focus on the national Children's Environmental Health (CEH) Program's objectives. The full scope of work is detailed in two attachments: "RFI 68HE0925Q0010" and a Statement of Work, which interested parties can review. Potential contractors should monitor FedBizOpps and FedConnect for future updates, understanding that this RFI does not guarantee a subsequent solicitation or contract award. The EPA emphasizes that responding to this RFI is voluntary and does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, and all costs associated with preparing a response will be at the respondent's expense.
