About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, specifically the 67th Cyberspace Wing, is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to understand market capabilities for critical labor categories supporting cyberspace operations. The RFI focuses on identifying 8(a) Small Business subpool contractors capable of supporting 23 functional areas including cyber operations, security, intelligence, financial management, and enterprise tools. Key contract requirements include personnel with Top Secret/SCI security clearances and expertise in Air Force and DoD-specific systems, cyberspace operations, and joint planning processes. Respondents must submit a 3-page response by April 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM Central Time to specified Air Force contract officials. The government will use this market research to evaluate potential contractors' capabilities to operate, manage, and defend global Air Force cyberspace networks.
The opportunity is set aside as a Competitive 8(a) procurement, specifically targeting small business contractors within the 8(a) program. The potential contract will have a base year with four 12-month option years, supporting approximately 2,100 personnel across multiple locations including Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Port San Antonio, Medina Base Annex, and Hulburt Field. While no specific award value is mentioned, the scope suggests a comprehensive staff services support contract for cyberspace operations. Most work will be performed during standard 8-hour workdays, with core hours from 0900-1500 Central Time. The government is considering a sole source contract approach and emphasizes that this RFI does not guarantee future solicitation participation, serving primarily as a market research initiative to understand potential contractor capabilities.
Notice text
This RFI is relatively narrow in scope. It is the Government’s intent to understand the market environment regarding specific, critical labor categories contained within the OASIS PWS. A sole source contract is being considered and this RFI is designed to allow the Government to better understand the capabilities of the 8(a) Small Business subpool to support the labor categories (LCATs) critical to this mission. Additional details regarding the associated certifications can be found on the draft PWS associated with this RFI.
Please see attached RFI document for full details.
