About this opportunity
The Special Notice is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Joint Project Manager for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Protection, which operates under the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND). The notice was published by the Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground on July 1, 2025. The RFI seeks to identify contractors and organizations with capabilities that support Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND) applications. JPM CBRN Protection is responsible for developing, fielding, and sustaining CBRN protection and mitigation capabilities for warfighters and the nation, including next-generation physical protection equipment and contamination mitigation technologies. The agency aims to reduce physiological burden while enhancing protection against CBRN threats and developing decontamination systems that decrease time and materials required for personnel and equipment decontamination.
The primary objective of this RFI is to connect with industry partners who possess relevant technologies in specific areas of CBRN protection and mitigation. Contractors interested in participating must have capabilities in technologies such as contamination indicators or suit lifetime monitoring systems, wearable sensors for integration within protective suits, personal cooling systems for tactical environments, self-healing polymers for mission continuation, or quick tactical repair technologies. The response deadline is August 23, 2025, and interested parties must register through the JETT registration page at the provided website to schedule meeting slots with JPM CBRN Protection. The notice specifically targets early to mid-Technology Readiness Level (TRL) solutions, indicating interest in emerging and developing technologies rather than fully mature systems. No specific set-aside designation applies to this opportunity, making it open to all eligible contractors regardless of size or socioeconomic status.

JPEO-CBRND’s Joint Project Manager for CBRN Protection
Do you have a capability that enables Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRND)?
JPM CBRN Protection, a component of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) develops, fields and sustains CBRN protection and mitigation capabilities for the warfighter and the Nation. This includes developing next-generation physical protection capabilities, like masks and suits, that reduce physiological burden and enhance protection against threats. JPM CBRN Protection also develops contamination mitigation technologies, including decontamination systems, to significantly decrease the time and materials required to decontaminate personnel and equipment.
If you have a capability or technology in the following relevant areas:
- Technologies to indicate contamination or suit lifetime, for example, colorimetric or other stimuli-responsive technologies to visually show the user that they are slimed, and how much time they have left (early- to mid-TRL)
- Wearable sensors that can be integrated within a suit to enable communication with sensors and other components of CBRN or other incidents (early TRL)
- Personal, wearable cooling systems like fans or dehumidifying systems to enable improved protection-comfort trade space in a tactical environment (early TRL)
- Self-healing polymers to enable mission continuation after an incident to one's suit, also applies to COLPRO (early TRL)
- Quick, tactical repair technologies to enable mission continuation after an incident to one's suit, also applies to COLPRO (early- to mid-TRL)
We’d like to meet with you.
