About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command, Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting market research under FAR Part 10 to identify sources capable of integrating Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) Kits onto either the 1-ton Light Tactical Trailer Heavy Chassis (LTT-HC) or the 2.5-ton M200A1 trailer, with responses due May 13, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. EST. This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal or promise to issue an RFP; no contract will be awarded and respondents will not be compensated for information submitted.
The Government owns the competitive Technical Data Package (TDP) and will provide it as Government Furnished Information (GFI) under subsequent competitive action. NAICS code is 336212 (Truck Trailer Manufacturing). Respondents must submit capability statements addressing company overview (two pages maximum), past performance on electrical and mechanical system integration within the last three years, production facility details with maximum monthly production capacity, storage and logistics capabilities, engineering and quality control processes, and current facility security clearance level.
Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimates are required for integrating a PP-3106A Power Plant (most complex) and a PU-2001A Power Unit (least complex), each based on 50-unit production quantities, delineated by Non-Recurring Engineering costs and recurring per-unit production costs, including volume discount potential and production lead times. Integration scope requires vendors to fabricate or procure all mounting hardware, brackets, and cables, with responsibility for tooling design and associated NRE if custom component fabrication is selected. Final systems must meet military environmental durability standards and be safely towable on primary and secondary roads. Amendment 3 clarified that vendors are responsible for secure integration of the generator and trailer using either purchased or fabricated components based on the government TDP, with flexibility in component selection. Contact: Mary Suda (mary.a.suda.civ@army.mil, Contract Specialist) and Shahaadah Nalls (shahaadah.c.nalls.civ@army.mil, Contracting Officer).

Amendment 3
The government is providing the following clarification for situational awareness; the response deadline remains unchanged.
Question: It is unclear to us whether or not we will be designing the integration solution or just building the hardware based on government provided specs. The below screenshots from the RFI seem to be sort of contradictory with each other.
-Integration Scope: the vendor is responsible for fabricating or procuring all mounting hardware, brackets, cables, and integrating/installing these components and GFE on the trailer IAW the government's TDP.
-The vendor is responsible for all non-recurring engineering (NRE) associated with designing the integration solution (e..g. tooling) to meet the performance requirements"
Answer: The vendor will be responsible for securely integrating the GFE (generator and trailer). This integration will require either purchased or fabricated components based on the government TDP. The TDP drawings provided at amendment 001 provide an overview to assist with reasonable estimation.
There is some flexibility in which specific components can accomplish the task, which is why any vendor may be able to accomplish assembly either with all purchased parts or chose to fabricate unique ones. If a vendor requires tooling to aid in fabricating unique components, they are responsible for its design and the NRE associated with that.
