About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking qualified vendors to provide preventative and corrective maintenance services for four Hanel vertical lift storage systems located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. The primary contract requirement is that maintenance technicians possess and maintain current Hanel Storage Systems factory certification, demonstrating competency in maintaining and repairing the specific vertical lift system models. Contractors must provide comprehensive maintenance including labor, supervision, management, equipment, tools, parts, and transportation necessary to ensure system operational readiness. This is currently a Request for Information (RFI) stage, with responses due by April 14, 2025, to determine vendor interest and capability. The procurement will be structured as a five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base period of one year and four potential one-year option periods.
The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will be open to qualified vendors in the Facilities Support Services (NAICS 561210) and Equipment Maintenance (PSC J059) categories. Contractors will be required to perform on-site maintenance at DMAFB, submit bi-annual maintenance reports, maintain a Quality Control Plan, and pass security background checks. Technicians must have a minimum of two years of related experience and comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. While specific award values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the contract emphasizes the critical nature of using certified technicians and Hanel-specific parts to maintain system warranties and operational integrity. Monthly invoices will be processed through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system, indicating standard federal contracting payment procedures will be utilized.
