About this opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather information about potential solutions for an industrial-style PC enclosure that can house a Small Form Factor (SFF) or desktop mini PC. The enclosure should be hardened to prevent tampering in a correctional environment and have options for tamper-resistant touch screens and/or industrial-style peripherals. The BOP is interested in solutions that can integrate and interoperate with their current SFF and desktop mini PCs, including details on maintenance and support. Vendors are expected to provide comprehensive information on their hardware, software, peripherals, and configurations, as well as address the BOP's IT security requirements. The BOP may schedule onsite or remote demonstrations of select systems. Responses to the RFI are due by June 7, 2024, and the BOP will use the information provided to refine the specifications for the eventual solicitation and acquisition of the PC enclosures.

The RFI is not set aside for any particular business type. The BOP has not indicated any potential incumbents or current contractors. The RFI does not specify any award values or budget ranges, and does not mention any quantities of goods or timelines for services.
