About this file
This document is a Q&A for a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) for tamper-proof PC enclosures. The RFI seeks information on industrial-style PC enclosures that can house small form factor (SFF) or desktop mini PCs and are hardened to prevent tampering in a correctional environment. The BOP is interested in solutions with options for tamper-resistant touch screens and/or industrial-style peripherals, as well as solutions that can integrate with the BOP's current SFF and desktop mini PCs. The BOP plans to use the information provided by vendors to refine the specifications for an eventual solicitation and acquisition of such PC enclosures. Vendors are expected to provide detailed information on their hardware, software, peripherals, and configuration specifications, as well as address the BOP's IT security requirements. The BOP may schedule onsite or remote demonstrations of select systems to gather more information.
