About this opportunity

The Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought notice to conduct market research on the availability of contractors capable of providing Direct Action Training Support, including instructors and support staff. This is a planning and informational notice for market research purposes only and does not constitute an obligation to procure services. Interested contractors must demonstrate expertise in direct action instruction and meet specific qualification requirements, including completion of formal Service Special Operations Close Quarter Battle (CQB) course instruction and possession of Active Secret Clearance for direct action instructor and combat marksmanship instructor positions. Responses must include a summary of company capabilities, identification of how the firm meets the stated requirements, and any suggested improvements or cost reduction recommendations for the Statement of Work. The deadline for submitting responses to this RFI is February 2, 2026, with questions and answers published as recently as January 30, 2026 to clarify contractor requirements and contract administration details.

No set-aside designation has been applied to this notice; however, small businesses across all socioeconomic categories are encouraged to respond, and the Government may restrict a follow-on Request for Quote (RFQ) to small businesses based on responses received. No incumbent contractor or specific award value is identified in the pre-solicitation materials. The contract will require full-time equivalent (FTE) staff positions and episodic support services scheduled in advance rather than on-call, with historical usage patterns to be provided in the formal solicitation. The Government will furnish weapons, optics, ammunition, safety equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment, while contractors will be integrated with Government cadre in execution-only roles with limited curriculum editing responsibilities. Multiple contract vehicles are under consideration including GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), GSA OASIS+, and SOFGSD, with a minimum 14-day transition period anticipated upon contract award.
