About this opportunity
The United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General (USPS OIG) is seeking to procure Agentic AI and Advanced GenAI training support services through a Request for Information (RFI) issued on January 9, 2026. The USPS OIG's Research and Insights Solution Center (RISC) requires comprehensive training covering Agentic AI frameworks, prompt and context engineering, and AI-assisted development (Vibe Coding) for its data practitioners. Qualified suppliers must demonstrate technical capabilities in supporting AI training services, specify whether capabilities are in-house or subcontracted, and provide up to three relevant contract references from previous similar work. Respondents must submit 10-page proposals by January 21, 2026, at 3 PM EDT to designated government email addresses, with responses marked "For Official Use Only, Releasable to Government Agencies for Evaluation Purposes Only." Questions regarding the RFI must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer by January 14, 2026, with answers published on SAM.gov. The evaluation will assess company profiles, technical capabilities, and experience delivering comparable training services.
This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not guarantee a future solicitation; however, companies not responding may be precluded from future competitions. No set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity. The training will be delivered on a Firm Fixed Price contract basis to approximately 40-50 USPS OIG employees across two cohorts, with delivery targeted for spring/summer 2026 in-person at Arlington, Virginia or virtually via Microsoft Teams. Training sessions will be capped at 20 students per class, and instructors must be competent professionals with positive reviews and availability to travel to Arlington on a pre-approved time-and-materials basis. All instructional and training materials will be retained by the government under FAR Clause 8.6 Data Rights, while vendors retain rights to their developed synthetic data. Key deliverables include a pre-training course outline, kick-off meeting, technology environment testing, hands-on training sessions, course materials, and post-training certificates and survey results to be completed within four months of contract award.
