About this opportunity

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Special Operations Forces and Personnel Recovery (SOF/PR) Division is conducting market research to identify industry capabilities for acquisition management and systems engineering support for the AC/HC/MC-130J aircraft fleets. The Request for Information (RFI) seeks comprehensive support services including hardware/software development, integration, verification, certification, production, installation, technical documentation, crisis management, sustainment, and engineering support for special mission variant aircraft based at Wright-Patterson and Robins Air Force Bases. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and align with NAICS codes 336411 and 541611. The government will evaluate responses based on technical expertise, experience with DoD contracts, modification capabilities, sustainment support, configuration management processes, and small business participation. Responses are due by 12:00 pm EST on April 21, 2025, and must be submitted via email to angela.knell.1@us.af.mil with a specific subject line.

Currently, no specific set-aside has been designated, though the government is considering potential small business set-aside options for the contract. The anticipated contract award is planned for Fiscal Year 2026, with requirements spanning multiple technical support domains for the AC/HC/MC-130J fleets. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the support suggests a significant contract scope covering engineering, logistics, and analytical services. The market research aims to confirm industry capabilities to plan, execute, and deliver capability modifications across hardware, software, and operational support domains. Potential contractors should be prepared to demonstrate extensive experience in aircraft modification, sustainment engineering, technical documentation, and crisis management support for military special mission aircraft platforms.
