About this opportunity

The 187th Fighter Wing of the Alabama Army National Guard has issued a Request for Information seeking sources capable of providing a "turn key" security camera system that is 100% compatible with their existing Advantor Systems infrastructure backbone. The procurement involves installing 13 PTZ and fixed cameras across eight buildings at Dannelly Field Air National Guard Base, along with 12-port managed network switches with fiber optic interfaces, intrusion detection system field equipment, and four 55-inch TV monitors in the Base Defense Operations Center. All proposed systems must be TAA Compliant, meet FAR Clause 52.204-25 requirements, and be fully vetted and approved by the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. The government has indicated its intention to award a sole source contract to Advantor Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as they currently utilize Advantor Systems for all security requirements and will not alter or reprogram any existing systems. Responses to this RFI are due by August 4, 2025, and the government emphasizes that no funds are currently available and no contract will be awarded based on this notice alone.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and specifically identifies Advantor Systems as both the current contractor and intended sole source awardee for the security camera installation project. While no specific contract value is provided in the notice, the government has stated that the contract is currently unfunded with any obligation contingent upon appropriated funds availability. The installation project requires 2-3 technicians working over a 15-day period to complete the turnkey installation, including conduit and wiring, verification testing, and commissioning of all equipment. Advantor Systems would provide a three-year warranty on their manufactured products and a one-year warranty on installation workmanship under the proposed arrangement. The government considers all bids valid for 90 days from the bid opening date, and the justification for sole source procurement will incorporate the results of this RFI in accordance with DFARS requirements.
