About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command is conducting market research through this Request for Information to identify potential sources capable of providing, installing, and programming a Vindicator duress annunciator system at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The procurement specifically requires installation of two silent duress systems at the Base Defense Operation Center (BDOC) with corresponding annunciator equipment at Building 217 (Watson Gate), utilizing only Honeywell Vindicator certified installers. The contractor must handle complete system integration, programming, testing, and commissioning to ensure seamless operation with existing infrastructure, while all personnel must be US citizens and comply with Department of Air Force security regulations. The project is restricted to the Vindicator brand due to proprietary technology requirements and the need to maintain compatibility with existing security infrastructure. Responses to this market research are due by August 29, 2025, with the government planning to conduct thorough analysis of submissions to determine the final procurement strategy.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designation and is open to both large and small businesses, with joint ventures and teaming arrangements encouraged. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are specifically identified in the documentation, though the restriction to Vindicator equipment manufactured by Honeywell suggests the field of potential contractors will be limited to authorized resellers and certified installers. The procurement will likely be conducted through GSA or SAMs multiple award schedule contracts based on the brand name justification documentation. The project involves installing equipment at two specific locations and includes a comprehensive 33-day testing period with 30 days of continuous operational testing, though no specific contract value or budget range is disclosed in the current market research phase.
