About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for a Modular Open Radio Frequency Architecture (MORA) Aligned RF Amplifier system. The vehicle-mounted system will provide RF distribution and amplification across a wide frequency range, utilizing a common RF interface from various vehicle systems and controlled via MORA Version 2.5 standard. Only verified Cleared Defense Contractors with active CAGE codes are eligible to respond, with white papers limited to 10 pages and required to describe technical specifications, technology readiness levels, and development efforts to achieve TRL 7. Interested parties must submit white papers via DoD Secure Access File Exchange (SAFE) by March 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST, with preliminary questions due by March 19, 2025. To obtain draft requirements, vendors must submit their credentials to Ms. Alison T. Powell by March 5, 2025.

The solicitation falls under NAICS category 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with no specific set-aside designations. The RFI is marked as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) under Distribution Statement D and seeks to gather information on potential sources and emerging technologies. While specific award values are not detailed, the government has requested rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for quantities of 50, 100, and 250 systems. The procurement is part of a market survey to support future requirements and acquisition strategy development for the RF amplifier system. The solicitation suggests a strategic approach to developing a sophisticated, standardized RF communication system for military vehicle applications, indicating potential significant investment in advanced communication technologies.
