About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ) at Picatinny Arsenal, on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center, is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for technologies that enable modular and multi-mission configurable supervised autonomous armament packages for integration onto manned or unmanned platforms. The procurement seeks both software and hardware solutions, with candidate technologies including concepts for the Assured Armaments Reference Architecture (AARA), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) implementations, common interfaces for integrated systems, safety-assured control systems, AI autonomy enabling technologies, aided target recognition integration, real-time object detection and classification capabilities, and MIL-STD-882E compliant systems. Interested businesses must submit a brief capabilities statement package by the March 9, 2026 deadline. It is important to note that telephone inquiries will not be accepted, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions, indicating this is a market research phase rather than a formal solicitation with established evaluation criteria.

This Pre-Solicitation Notice does not include a set-aside designation for small businesses or other specific contractor categories. No incumbent contractors or current award values are identified in this market research RFI, as the purpose is to gather information on available technologies rather than to make immediate procurement decisions. The notice does not specify a contract award value, quantity of goods, or implementation timeline, as those details will likely be determined following the analysis of responses received by the March 9, 2026 due date. This RFI represents an early-stage procurement activity that will inform the development of future formal solicitations for the Human Machine Integrated Formations program.
