About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Near Earth Orbit Network (NEON) Program's Sounder for Microwave-Based Applications (SMBA) Instrument. The purpose is to allow industry to review and provide feedback on the draft Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, Instrument Mission Assurance Requirements, and Performance Requirements Document. This will help NASA improve the requirements before releasing the final solicitation, expected in Q3 FY25. NASA is hosting an overview session on April 18, 2024, and encourages industry to schedule 1-on-1 meetings to discuss the draft documents. All comments and questions must be submitted by May 2, 2024.
Paragraph 2:
This RFI is not a set-aside procurement and has no incumbent or current contractor identified. No award value or budget range is provided, as this is a pre-solicitation notice. The SMBA Instrument is intended to serve as the backbone microwave sounder for the NEON program, with enhanced capabilities such as Radio Frequency Interference detection and hyperspectral features. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and no proposals are to be submitted at this time.
Notice text
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO PROPOSALS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.
