About this opportunity
The Department of Education is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for the Information Collection Request, Review & Approval System Maintenance and Support (ICRAS) contract. This market research effort seeks to identify qualified small business sources capable of providing computer systems design services under NAICS code 541512. The RFI aims to gather information about potential contractors' capabilities, size classifications, and competitive potential for a future single-award contract. The government intends to issue a solicitation in Spring 2025, with an anticipated contract award by July 2025. The research will help determine the availability of sources, assess potential contractors' capabilities, and evaluate the overall competitive landscape for this procurement.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates the contract will be structured with one 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods, structured as a firm-fixed-price contract. There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, which suggests open competition among qualified small businesses. While specific budget details are not disclosed, the contract appears focused on maintaining and supporting an information collection request system. The procurement process follows federal acquisition regulations under 48 C.F.R. Part 10, which mandates comprehensive market research before formal solicitation. Interested vendors should carefully review the attached documents, including the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and RFI document, to fully understand the scope and requirements of this potential contract opportunity.
