About this opportunity
The Defense Health Agency is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance services for Government-owned Draeger anesthesia machines at U.S. Naval Hospital Naples, Italy. This RFI is issued solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a binding solicitation; responses will not be accepted as offers and will not form a contract. Potential offerors must submit a maximum five-page capabilities document in Microsoft Word format via email to joshua.m.grim.civ@health.mil by March 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, with a question deadline of March 10, 2026. Key service requirements include two scheduled preventive maintenance visits annually with English-speaking technicians and unlimited on-site corrective repairs during standard business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), with the contractor responsible for providing all replacement parts, technical modifications, and travel expenses. Any resulting contract would be structured as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) non-personal services agreement classified under NAICS 339112 and PSC J066, with performance-based evaluation criteria that the Contracting Officer maintains full flexibility to modify.
No set-aside designations apply to this procurement. The contract would cover maintenance services for 20 Draeger anesthesia units across multiple models (Apollo, Infinity Kappa, Infinity C700, D Vapor, and Vapor 2000) at the 29-bed community hospital facility. The period of performance consists of a 12-month base year followed by four optional 12-month renewal periods, providing up to 60 months of potential service coverage if all options are exercised. Contractor personnel must obtain security clearance and base access sponsorship through the BIOMED Department at USNH Naples. While no specific budget amount or award value is disclosed in this RFI, the Defense Health Agency has not guaranteed that a formal solicitation will follow, reserving the right to adjust its acquisition strategy based on market research findings.
