About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to conduct market research on preventive and corrective maintenance services for Government-owned Draeger anesthesia units at U.S. Naval Hospital (USNH) Naples, Italy. The RFI seeks to establish whether two or more responsible participants exist on SAM.gov capable of providing the required services. Responses are due by 10:00 AM Eastern Time on March 19, 2026, with a question deadline of March 10, 2026. Potential offerors must submit a maximum five-page capabilities document in MS Word format via email to joshua.m.grim.civ@health.mil with "SAM.gov RFI_12403667" in the subject line. The DHA explicitly states this RFI does not guarantee a future solicitation will be issued and does not limit the Contracting Officer's acquisition strategy flexibility.

The sample requirement covers preventive and corrective maintenance on 20 Draeger anesthesia units across multiple models (Apollo, Infinity Kappa, Infinity C700, D Vapor, and Vapor 2000) at the 29-bed community hospital. Key service requirements include two scheduled preventive maintenance visits annually with English-speaking technicians, unlimited on-site corrective repairs during normal business hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday), and provision of all replacement parts, technical modifications, and travel expenses. The period of performance consists of a 12-month base year followed by four optional 12-month periods (60 months total if all options are exercised). The contract type for any resulting solicitation would be Firm Fixed Price (FFP), classified as Non-personal Services and performance-based, with NAICS code 339112 (Surgical and medical instrument manufacturing). Services must be performed at USNH Naples, Italy, and contractor personnel require security clearance and base access sponsorship through the BIOMED Department.
