About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) is seeking scientific and engineering support services through an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The goal is to obtain routine engineering services to develop cutting-edge instrumentation systems and test facilities in support of ATC's testing mission. Key contract requirements include providing mechanical, electrical/electronic, software, and systems engineering expertise to fabricate prototypes, develop user manuals, and design/install test facilities. The Government anticipates using a trade-off source selection approach rather than lowest-priced technically acceptable. Responses to the Request for Information are due by July 31, 2024, and the subsequent Request for Proposal is expected to be released at a later date.
This procurement is unrestricted, with no set-aside designations. The incumbent contractor is CRAIG. The Government anticipates the ID/IQ contract may have a ceiling value up to $50 million over 5 years of ordering and 7 years of performance, with most individual tasks expected to be less than $1 million per year. The NAICS code is 541330 Engineering Services, with a size standard of $16.5 million.
Notice text
Request for Information –Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) is one of the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) foremost test and training ranges supporting DoD, non-DoD and commercial material developers by testing a broad spectrum of equipment throughout the life cycle, from concept through deployment.
ATC has a continuing need for scientific and routine engineering support for the development of cutting-edge instrumentation systems and test facilities. Due to the test mission and staff constraints at ATC, the development and fabrication of instrumentation and test facilities at the rate required is not feasible solely with in-house Government personnel; therefore, these services have historically been also provided by Contractors. These services need to be of a quick response nature to provide instrumentation without costly delays to high priority test programs.
