About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration intends to solicit replacement UV-blocking protective mesh screen curtains for the AJW-L600 Distribution Center Cable Yard at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a market survey response due July 29, 2026. The FAA has not yet determined the competitive structure; results of this market survey will inform whether the procurement proceeds as full-and-open competition or is set aside for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified entities.

The work includes manufacturing, procurement, removal, disposal, delivery, installation, and configuration of thirty-two custom UV-blocking protective mesh curtains with mounting hardware and support systems for two outdoor storage bays—sixteen curtains per bay. The contractor must remove and dispose of existing deteriorated curtains, perform field measurements and site verification prior to fabrication, and complete installation within forty-five calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with material lead time estimated at six to eight weeks and on-site work taking approximately two business days. Curtains must be designed for continuous outdoor exposure, provide UV protection while allowing airflow, resist tearing and environmental degradation, and withstand high-wind conditions typical of central Oklahoma (30–40 MPH average gusts, 60 MPH maximum). The contractor must submit shop drawings, product specifications, and material data sheets for FAA approval before installation and provide a minimum one-year warranty covering materials, workmanship, and installation defects.

All contractor personnel require valid REAL ID-compliant identification and must comply with FAA security procedures. Prime contractor and subcontractors must be United States-owned and operated businesses. The NAICS code is 314999 (All Other Miscellaneous Textile Product Mills) with a small business size standard of 550 employees.

Respondents should submit a capability statement documenting previous similar contracts, years in business, existing government contracts, and a point of contact; proof of SAM.gov registration; and any applicable SBA 8(a) Certification Letter or SDVOSB eligibility certification.
