The project involves removing failed cast iron sewer pipes and replacing them with heavy-duty PVC pipes, repairing associated water damage to studs and drywall, and reconnecting the galley garbage disposal. Contractors must complete the work within 30 calendar days of contract issuance, with work hours from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The solicitation requires an on-site foreman and strongly encourages potential bidders to conduct site visits before submitting proposals. This opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses and will be performed at the Coast Guard station located in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The project includes specific technical requirements such as snaking or replacing clogged pipes, confirming leak-free connections, and replacing concrete and tile flooring in the galley area. Wage rates will be determined by the Davis-Bacon Act, with workers classified and compensated according to specific labor categories. The contract includes a one-year warranty period from final acceptance, and key contacts for the project are MKC Paul Lehman and CWO Steve Mensen. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the project involves comprehensive plumbing and renovation work that will restore critical bathroom facilities and kitchen infrastructure for the Coast Guard station.
