About this opportunity
The Army National Guard seeks construction of sloped concrete sides around an existing F-15 heritage aircraft display pedestal and removal of a traffic island at Fresno Air National Guard Base, California, with quotes due July 17. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
Place of performance is Fresno, CA 93727. The project requires a valid California B or C-8 Concrete Contractor license held by the prime or subcontractor, or equivalent credential. Work comprises two objectives: construction of 60-degree angled sloped concrete ramps (approximately three cubic yards) around the existing pedestal with color-matched concrete per American Concrete Institute standards, and demolition and removal of the concrete curb island in front of the West Gate guard shack, including excavation, irrigation line capping, sub-base preparation, and asphalt concrete repaving to match surrounding roadway. All work must comply with Unified Facilities Criteria standards (UFC 3-220-01, UFC 3-301-01, UFC 3-250-01, UFC 3-270-01, UFC 3-201-01) and Air National Guard Engineering Technical Letters (ANGETL 24-01-07). The period of performance shall not exceed 60 calendar days from contract award. Working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and federal holidays.
The project value is less than $25,000 and is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. Evaluation assesses a two-page written work procedure addressing SOW requirements, identification of subcontractors at quote submission, and contractor qualifications demonstrated through license number or equivalent credential. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for June 25 at 0900 PDT; base access requires Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) pre-enrollment and submission of a base access form five business days prior. Questions are due one week before the deadline. The NAICS code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction.
