About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service Coconino National Forest is seeking contractors to reconstruct the Bonito Amphitheater in the Flagstaff Ranger District, which has been severely damaged by flooding events following the Shultz fire in 2010 and the Tunnel and Pipeline fires in 2022. The project involves dismantling the existing amphitheater structures that are buried under up to 4 feet of sediment and constructing a new amphitheater approximately 200 feet away on higher ground that is not susceptible to flooding. The pre-solicitation notice indicates that a Small Business Set-aside Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered 127EAX25R0010 is contemplated, with Contract Specialist Richard Ortega managing the procurement process. The projected period of performance extends from September 30, 2025, through February 27, 2026, providing approximately five months for completion of the reconstruction work.
