About this opportunity
The 409th Contracting Support Brigade, part of the Army Contracting Command, is seeking to procure Very High Frequency Command Network (VCN) Radios and components for NATO operations in Kosovo. The solicitation is a sole-source procurement targeting Airbus Defence and Space, which is the only manufacturer capable of providing radios compatible with NATO network requirements. Interested parties may submit capability statements by January 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM, though this is not a competitive proposal request. The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation and is being conducted on a sole-source basis directly with Airbus Defence and Space. The total order includes 55 radios, multiple battery sets (totaling 80 batteries), 55 single-unit and 5 six-unit chargers, 12 carrying kits, 12 belt loops, 28 microloudspeakers, 50 wideband UHF antennas, and 20 car chargers. The radios must meet specific technical requirements, including TETRAPOL system compatibility, Mission Confidential Level accreditation, and GPS functionality. Delivery is required within 60 days after contract award to Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo, with a minimum one-year warranty and mandatory scrap services for end-of-life equipment. The procurement is intended to replace end-of-life VCN radios and enhance situational awareness for Kosovo Forces (KFOR) operations.
