About this opportunity

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a civilian agency under the Department of Commerce, is seeking to acquire a Rapid Freeze Quench System for Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) Spectroscopy. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a system that can trap transient states of bionanomaterials for subsequent EPR spectroscopy measurements. NIST has detailed technical specifications, including a minimum 3 ms reaction time, total "dead" volume of no more than 200 uL, and minimum sample volume per shot of no more than 25 uL. The system must be delivered within 120 days, and NIST will perform acceptance testing with the right to reject nonconforming equipment. Payment will be made in full upon successful installation, testing, and demonstration that the system meets the stated requirements.

This is an unrestricted solicitation with no set-aside designation, issued under simplified acquisition procedures. Award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The place of performance is Gaithersburg, MD 20899, USA.
