About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA), is seeking a contractor to provide preventative and emergency maintenance services for fitness center equipment at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell bases. The solicitation (FA558725Q0032) requires a contractor with two years of relevant experience and current Life Fitness certification to perform scheduled quarterly maintenance and respond to unscheduled repair requests for cardiovascular, weightlifting, and related exercise equipment. The contract will use a best value trade-off source selection process, evaluating offers based on price, past performance, and technical certification factors, with the intention of selecting the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer. Vendors must demonstrate capability to service equipment from manufacturers like Nautilus, Rogue Fitness, Assault Fitness, and Concept2. Key response dates include questions due by 12:00 GMT on 06 June 2025, site visit requests by 15:00 GMT on 30 May 2025, and quotes due by 15:00 GMT on 30 June 2025.

The solicitation has no small business set-aside due to its overseas location and will cover a base year from 01 June 2025 to 31 May 2026, with four potential one-year option periods extending through 31 May 2030. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price agreement with a not-to-exceed line item for repair parts, and currently, funds are not available for the effort. The place of performance is in Europe, specifically at the fitness centers located at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell. The equipment inventory includes over 80 pieces of fitness equipment from manufacturers such as Life Fitness, Nautilus, Concept 2, and Rogue, including treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, weight machines, and specialized exercise equipment. The government will allow two emergency unscheduled maintenance visits per quarter at no cost, with additional visits billed on a per-job basis, and the Contracting Officer's Representative is authorized to approve individual maintenance tasks up to $500.
