About this opportunity
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Yuma Proving Ground is conducting market research for maintenance services for a Radiography CRxFlexII scanner, targeting vendors capable of providing specialized technical support and maintenance. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to understand industry capabilities for maintaining a proprietary x-ray scanning system critical to testing and safety operations. The government is specifically interested in vendors who can perform two annual preventive maintenance inspections and provide technical support, with only Waygate Technologies certified technicians eligible to perform maintenance. Responses are due by May 21, 2025, and the RFI requires potential contractors to answer specific questions about their commercial service classification, capability to meet requirements, socio-economic categories, recommended contract types, and potential teaming arrangements. The procurement will be classified under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $34.0 million.
The solicitation encourages participation from small businesses across all socio-economic categories, including 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Women-Owned Small Business concerns. While no specific award value is mentioned, the maintenance contract includes provisions for two annual preventive maintenance inspections with up to two unscheduled repairs ($500 per repair), telephone technical support (8 hours daily, 5 days weekly), and software license maintenance. The contract will be structured as a non-personal service agreement, with the contractor responsible for all personnel, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to complete maintenance services. No specific set-aside has been designated for this opportunity, and the government explicitly states that this RFI is for information and planning purposes only, with no guarantee of future solicitation. Potential respondents are advised that the government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing a response to this market research request.
