About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration, Integrated Service Network 15, has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to SJS Executives, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The notice pertains to temporary maintenance services for the Consolidated Mail-Out Pharmacy (CMOP) located in Leavenworth, Kansas. This procurement is unique due to an unexpected delay in the planned relocation of CMOP operations from Leavenworth to Shawnee, Kansas, which was originally scheduled for January 31st, 2025. The VA is seeking to continue maintenance support for their automated equipment during this extended period of operation at the current site.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform potential contractors about the VA's intention to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of U.S.C. 38 8127 and VAAR 819.7008 for a duration of 3-8 months. The contract is specifically targeted at providing temporary maintenance services, with a NAICS category of Temporary Help Services and a Product Service Code of R425 for Professional Engineering/Technical Support. Eligible contractors are limited, as the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only SJS Executives, LLC due to its SDVOSB status. Interested vendors may submit information by email to Contracting Officer Larry Zaritz at larry.zaritz@va.gov, though responses will only be considered for potential future awards. The solicitation number is 36C77025Q0107, with a response deadline of January 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM Central Time.
