The project has evolved through multiple modifications to include both lead paint abatement and asbestos/mold remediation services, requiring contractors to perform removal of approximately 200 square feet of sheetrock, 8 linear feet of asbestos pipe wrapping, and lead abatement across 878 square feet in Wiley Hall areas including the Dean's Office, Reception Offices, Dean's Bathroom, and Hall #4. Contractors must be EPA-registered and New York State Department of Labor qualified with appropriate licenses and certifications for lead, asbestos, and mold abatement work, demonstrating at least three relevant work experiences from the past five years. The final deadline for questions is June 26, 2025 at 0900 ET, with proposals due July 1, 2025 at 0900 ET, and a mandatory site visit scheduled for June 24, 2025 at 1100.

This procurement is designated as a 100% Total Small Business Set-aside under FAR Parts 5/12/13/19, with no incumbent contractors identified in the documentation. While specific contract values are not disclosed, the project involves significant environmental remediation work that must be completed within five calendar days of contract award, with strict performance requirements including negative pressure enclosures, HEPA vacuum systems, and compliance with EPA clearance standards. The period of performance extends from July 1, 2025 to July 26, 2025, with all work conducted between 7am-4pm, Monday through Friday. The place of performance is the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy campus at 300 Steamboat Road, Kings Point, NY 11024, with Carmen Feliz serving as the Contracting Officer and Roody Milord as the Environmental Protection Specialist/COR.
