About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 19 is seeking onsite neuromonitoring services for the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center through solicitation 36C25925Q0304. The contract requires board-certified Surgical Neuromonitorists to perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services during surgical procedures, with providers needing Certified in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) credentials and current licensing. Key personnel must maintain 100% compliance with scope of practice requirements, be available according to VA clinical schedules, respond within 60 minutes for off-hours calls, and complete mandatory VA training. The Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan requires 100% surveillance by surgeons and OR staff, with performance ratings ranging from Exceptional to Unsatisfactory that will impact future contract opportunities. However, solicitation 36C25925Q0304 was ultimately canceled on August 19, 2025, with the Contracting Officer dissolving the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside and announcing plans to repost an unrestricted solicitation within 5 to 10 days.

Originally designated as a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses under NAICS code 621111 with a $16 million size standard, the opportunity had no incumbent contractor as this represented a new contract. The contract was structured to cover an estimated 135 cases per year, including approximately 180-212 spine cases, 6-12 brain cases, and 5-11 otolaryngologic cases annually, supporting four surgeons with expectations to handle a minimum of three concurrent cases. The contract period included a base year from August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026, with four additional one-year option periods extending through July 31, 2030, for a total potential five-year performance period. Services are to be performed at the Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with normal operating room hours currently scheduled from 0700 to 1530. The total estimated contract value falls within the $16 million NAICS category threshold, though specific award amounts were not disclosed in the original solicitation materials.
