About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 (VISN 8) is seeking quotations for Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) services at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, Florida through Request for Quotations (RFQ) 36C24826Q0064. The contractor must provide onsite IONM technologists and remote board-certified neurophysiologist physicians to support complex surgical procedures including spine, neurosurgery, vascular, cardiac, and orthopedic operations. Key personnel qualifications require neurophysiologist physicians to be board-certified by either the American Board of Neurological Surgery or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with IONM fellowship certification, while technologists must hold CNIM certification from ABRET. The VA will evaluate quotations based on technical capability, past performance, socioeconomic status, and price, with technical and past performance weighted significantly more heavily than price. The deadline for quotation submission is January 26, 2026 at 4:00 PM EST, and the period for submitting questions closed on December 23, 2025.

This solicitation is set aside for small businesses with preference for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), and the incumbent contractor is Neurology Mobile System Associates Inc. The contract is structured as an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) arrangement with a total value of $16 million, consisting of a base year and four one-year option periods extending through June 16, 2031. The service is estimated at approximately three IONM procedures per week with case volume data showing 290 Neurosurgery and 384 Vascular surgery cases over the past 24 months, with one to two cases occurring simultaneously. Services must be available 24/7 including weekends and federal holidays at the Miami VA Medical Center. The targeted award date is March 2026, with services scheduled to commence on June 17, 2026.
